Dough bowls are timeless and open up many possibilities for your seasonal home decor. Let me show you how to style a dough bowl for every season!
Whether you’re decorating your home for a holiday or need something beautiful and timeless for any time of year, you can’t go wrong with a dough bowl centerpiece.
They look great on a kitchen island, a dining room table, an entry table, or even on a shelf.
Fall Dough Bowl Decor
I love to use my dough bowl in my fall home decor. This fall centerpiece came together in less than ten minutes.
I cut all of the floral stems off of fall flower bunches that I found at Michael’s and tucked them around the bowl and candlesticks.
The gold bowl is filled with paper and then topped with a little Spanish moss and some pinecones. The pumpkins were part of the flower bunches and I added a simple wood bead garland to the far corner.
Spring Dough Bowl Centerpiece
I decorated this dough bowl for Spring but it’s so neutral it can be used for any time of year. I just realized our dog snuck into the picture. Can you see her? I’ve linked many items below the photo.
Wood Dough Bowl Filler Ideas
You can use faux or fresh flowers, potpourri, candles, seed pods, wood bead garlands and so much more to use as wooden dough bowl filler ideas. Here are some great fillers:
Build a scene by adding plants, flowers, wood beads, and candlesticks. If you add candles, just be sure you select a very level surface on the dough bowl. Sometimes they are a little uneven. A jar candle or battery-operated candles work well.
You can make your dough bowl unique by adding simple handles or creating risers. I used two plain white bowls and spray-painted a gold rim on them to raise up my dough bowl.
This created the modern rustic decor feel I was going for and it was super affordable to make.
I’ll update this post with more images throughout the year so be sure to check back.
