Grove Collaborative Review

After being a member for quite some time, I feel I can give an educated Grove Collaborative Review. Let’s take a look at the good and bad of being a Grove member.

This post is not sponsored. Opinions are my own.

Let’s Start With The Things You Should Know About Grove Collaborative Before Ordering

Are The FREE gifts really free?

Not really… There is a small catch. You have to make a minimum purchase to get your FREE items.

When I first got started with Grove, I claimed a pretty enticing free gift to get started. There is a minimum purchase to claim your free products from Grove. When I signed up, the minimum purchase was $20. This may vary.

Caution: Extra Items Are Added To Your Cart For You And They’re Not Free!

Once you claim your free items, be sure to check your shopping cart. Grove will add all of the FREE items as well as other items they suggest for your first purchase.

In this Grove Collaborative review of my shopping cart, look at each item in the cart, you can see which items are free and which are paid. This is only a partial view.

You can delete all of the suggested products and add your own choices in order to meet the minimum purchase amount.

Don’t delete the FREE ones though! Everybody wants free stuff, right?!

Don’t leave yet, there’s more you need to know!

Automatic Reorder!

The products you order are placed on an automatic reorder schedule but you can edit or remove anything (or everything) from this so that you only get what you want when you need it.

I like to leave certain items on automatic reorder so I don’t forget to order them and other items I just remove.

After you place your first order, go to your account and click on Product Subscriptions. You can edit the frequency or delete items entirely and leave it empty. If it’s empty, you won’t get anything automatically for the next order, but…..

The next month more items will show up in your cart so keep an eye on your monthly reminder emails. Grove says you can change this in your settings.

I couldn’t find this in the settings so I emailed them and they made the change for me so nothing is added to the reorder unless I add it myself.

Grove VIP Program

If you join the VIP program, you get free shipping on all orders over a certain dollar amount. When I signed up the VIP program was $20 and they charge this once per year. You can cancel any time.

It’s just me and my husand at home now and we don’t go through as many cleaning and home care products as we used to, so I’m always debating leaving the VIP program. They dangle a lot of enticing things in front of you to keep it.

So far, we’re still in….

Now Let’s Get to the Best Grove Products!

I’m also going to go over some things I don’t like further in this post so hang with me for a minute!

#1 – Making the top of my Best Products From Grove Collaborative that I use daily is Mrs. Meyer’s Multi-Surface Cleaner. I use it all around the house and it makes everything smell so fresh and clean. My favorite scent is Lemon Verbena.

Yes, you can find this product in other stores but I order it from Grove because it helps me meet the minimums for other free products they offer me with each purchase.

Grove is alwasy enticing you to meet minimums for other free products. I try to bulk order so I can get the free items I want the most. If I don’t like what they’re offering, I wait to see what they offer the next month.

#2 – Mrs. Meyer’s Hand Soap is another product I love. I use it in both bathrooms and the kitchen. I change up the scents and take advantage of the seasonal or limited-time offer scents.

Recently, I ordered the Grove Collaborative foaming handsoap with the reusable glass pump bottle (pictured below).

You mix part of the Foaming Hand Soap Concentrate with water. The amounts you use are marked on the pump bottle and I’m loving the idea of the reusable bottle and the soap packaging that is better for the environment.

I forgot to add the silicone gripper for the bottom of this bottle when I first ordered it. Don’t forget to add yours!

I love that the refill is in a bag and when you use it up, it takes up a lot less space in a landfill.

#3 – Replaceable Head Dish Brush – I like this brush for the kitchen and they have replaceable brush heads available when needed. You can see my brush in the picture below.

You can pop the brush off and run it through the dishwasher to sanitize it, which is nice.

#4 – Grove Collaborative Dish Soap with Grove Glass Dishsoap Dispenser – Again I like the packaging and they also sell replaceable silicone pieces for the bottom of the glass bottle.

I haven’t had to replace mine yet but it’s nice to know I can. I’ve also seen some seasonal colors that they offer for the silicone piece if you’d like to change up the colors for the season.

There’s that refill bag again that I love.

Best Things From Grove Collaborative

#5 – Bubble Up Dish Soap Dispenser & Brush Set

This is by far one of the best things from Grove Collaborative and my husband loves it, too!

ou add a little dish soap and water and the dispenser is spring-loaded so it bubbles up onto the brush! It’s so nice for quick clean-up or to scrub the pans!

The brush head for this one is not replaceable and my only complaint about this product is it fits down the drain into the garbage disposal. I wish they would make the handle oval shaped so it won’t fall down there.

Occasionally you need to take the spring loaded part out and give it a good scrub. I do this when I’m changing the water in the dish. You can reorder more brushes when needed.

#6 – Walnut Scrubber Sponge, Set of 2 – I use these all of the time. Do yourself a favor and leave them on reorder. Y’all know you’re not throwing out your sponges enough! 😉

Other items pictured in this post are the Sink Caddy & Modern Stoneware Tray Set. I love this so far. The Grove Collaborative sink tray holds the sponge, the scrubber brush, the Bubble Up and the wire bar in the back holds a dish rag or the European Dish Cloths that they offer. They are little dishcloths that are dishwasher safe.

The ceramic tray is also nice in the bathroom. I have one under my foaming hand soap with a candle and other trinkets on it.

I could go on and on about the best Grove products. I have candles, toothpaste, dishwasher powder, napkins…. I love getting their boxes. It feels like a present when it arrives on my doorstep.

Things I Don’t Like

#1 – Tree-Free Paper Towels – I’m a fan of eco-driendly products so I really wanted to love the tree-free paper towels. I didn’t care for them and haven’t reordered.

#2 – Scented Laundry Detergent – I love the scented laundry detergent, but it bothered my husband’s skin. We now opt for the unscented.

#3 – I ordered the laundry detergent dispener. It’s pretty and works fine, but we ended up not using it after the first fill. We found it easier to just pour the detergent from the little refill bag and then we didn’t have to clearn a dispenser.

I’ve been happy with almost everything we’ve ordered. I like the convenience of having items show up on my doorstep. I would say that overall, Grove is worth it.

If you have any questions that I didn’t cover, please let me know in the comments below and I’ll do my best to answer!

Happy crafting,

Denise
