I love making DIY gnome ornaments so I thought I’d share a round-up of all of the DIY gnome Christmas ornaments I’ve made over the years. Each gnome ornament has a detailed tutorial for you to follow. Enjoy!

DIY gnome ornaments never seem to go out of style. Gnomes have been around for many years and I’m always finding a new way to incorporate them into my Christmas decor.
I love making gnomes and I have an entire category for DIY gnomes! My three most viral posts have been Rope Gnomes, DIY Flower pot Gnomes, and Sock Gnomes.
Supplies
The supplies you’ll need to make DIY gnome ornaments will vary according to the ornaments you choose, but most of these ornaments will need similar items.
- Yarn: yarn can be used to make beards or cute little hats
- Faux fur: Faux fur is another option to make beards
- Wooden beads or felt balls to make a nose
- Felt or fabric to make hats

DIY Gnome Ornaments
These DIY pine cone gnomes ornaments are super easy to make.
Yarn gnomes made with toilet paper rolls can be changed for any season. They make great DIY Christmas ornaments but can also be used for Fall or any other holiday.

These DIY rope gnomes came together completely by accident. They have been quite popular!
These beach gnome ornaments would be beautiful on a nautical-themed Christmas tree!
I made a garland with these but you could also make gnome ornaments with old sweaters. Just add an ornament hook!
These DIY paintbrush gnomes were fun to make. I used a glue gun and some Dollar Tree Christmas craft supplies to make them.
These Easter gnomes can be made into ornaments. Use toddler socks to make the baby one and add a loop to the top of the hat for hanging.
For the ornaments below, I used miniature knit hats, wood slices, split wood beads, and a bit of faux fur. They were so easy!
